Thursday was crappy training, I guess everyone was v stressed and all. Then walked to eat penang laksa with Margaux. Seriously I never knew this place existed before, pretty good food there. Went to Fiona's place to get my G.HenleVerlag notebook. (love the cover, clean lines and cream-coloured pages) Then back to school for op practice.
Friday OP. Rushed to school while practicing my lines in the taxi. It was pretty much okay, just that the q&a part was harder than tuesday's group. Played with polariods + a very amusing lunch. (flying naans & butter chicken?)
Saturday Asians all schools (eye candies aplenty). Showered at the locker rooms with flimsy shower curtains. Then left for Spacebar at the Flyer.

We waited desperately for a cab since all the roads to Esplanade was closed + distracting the driver while 5 girls climbed into the backseat (tried to hide behind Angie) I swear it was the most hilarious cab ride ever. It started with the driver's confession of his love for techno music & the taxi was transformed into a mobile-club. All I rmb was "batam","techno","dancing", the rest of us were shaking with laughter & trying to be as silent at the same time + head-banging & looks of bewilderment at each other. Things got even worse when we got to O'Learys. Angie, Char & I walked into the male toilet :/ and Angie only realised when she saw a guy inside. She 'omg-ed' really loudly & we ran out.

Spacebar was ho-hum so we went to Gelatissimo for desserts + talk. Cher's sudden 'I love you all' was so cute <3 Left before the crowd & walked to all the way to cityhall with perculiar sightings in btw (speeding police, straw hats, and waving to ppl in stretch limos)

2012 movie preview last night with Nicole at Lido. It was practically 2.5h+ of CGI and massive explosions but I still drifted off to sleep in the middle of the movie. Paper-prata & teh cino for supper after that!
Matching my outfits & booking hotels for hk now (must pack light!) Just reminded that I have a million things on my to-buy/eat list + presents for gift-exchange in dec (:

I initially wrote an entry last night. After countless times hitting the backspace, re-writing and sorting out my thought, it just never got posted. Crazy, how this feels. (I have never felt so unsure in my life) Rewind a few months back & I may would have done things differently.

Week forty-four
mon- pm lunch in town. left my laptop in one of the shops and had a panic attack.
tues- a11 won inter-ct netball (get well soon, Char!)
weds- subway with Siah & Cx, then to my place for pw
thurs- mango strudel + french vanilla chai tea, job orientation at night
fri- morning trng, failed op rehearsal + baking & dinner at sylvie's house (omg 'happy' moments, and accidental touches! yikes)

movie + dinner at tonkichi later with shann + fiona (maybe Mag too)

I was Wednesday Addams for a night.
White-collar blouse beneath a black shift dress + centre parting + pigtails + black eyeliner + a doll

Used to love the Addams family on cartoonnetwork, if only I had someone came as Pugsley with me. Char came as Shevchenko, Eugene was a pirate, Jamie was Ris Low & Angie was the urbanite. My old cabbage-patch kid doll totally freaked Char out; and the rain kinda ruined outdoor plans.

We had spizza + pasta & wings. Played Cluedo (which I sucked, and was first to die)

& some really fun treacherous zombie-betrayal game.

Waited for ages to get a cab + stupid midnight surchange. I'm broke now, where's my november allowance!? 

No more wr hell. Stayed back on thursday with Cher + Cx and worked on it non-stop till late, taking turns to nap on the table.
Cousins came over for dinner & Callis bought cheesecake from Hilton hotel (: it was really really good.
Then back to pw, until almost 4am (with a mini panic-attack in btw). Went to school the next day to edit/print. by 11am, I already had 3 cups of coffee :/ bought $25 worth of cards to print + 2hours later, we finally submitted the file to tm.

Looking back, Idk how I even went through friday with 2 hours of sleep + trng + (first proper meal of the day) jap dinner with the family.

FOS on Tuesday & our netball team won all 3 matches. Feels good playing with Andrea after sooo long! (Omg team sleepover/party soon!) Ares pretty much just rocked FOS yst (: I had the longest-shower-ever in school, sliding soap bottles across 3 cubicles to Char. Then dinner with Char Eugene Eeruey at Astons.

Lessons ended at 11 today. Went to eat at Subway with Angie Cher Char, & sat in the comfy booth talking/rotting. Back to school for trng which was totally horrible & I played so crappily. Meh

Today was pretty slack. Skipped math tutorial (couldn't find the venue anyway) & went to Queensway with Tay Angie Char Cher Eugene. Then met Mag for fro-yo at HollandV + listened to each other's current random-mix <3

Meh.
today is such a bad day really. Promo results were dismal- barely made an E for math, wss essay was awful & i was totally shocked at my gp grades. This is so totally depressing. + intermittent headache & nausea, guess i spent most of the day at the toilet sink. (and if you guys will actually get to read this) thanks for all the love & for trying to make me feel better today <3

Strawberry Shortcake
Wanted to make raspberry mille-feuille some time back, but there wasn't any more raspberries left, so I just used whatever I could find & came up with this.

Fresh strawberries, gently cooked to a intensely purple-hued compote, then folded into billowy soft mousseline & fromage frais. This stawberry mousse is held by layers of vanilla bean-scented genoise, strewn with diced berries macerated in kirsch and rum. Finally, dollops of creme chantily is smoothered onto the top and chopped pistachios scattered all over.

It was really quite time-consuming. From macerating the berries overnight to baking the genoise, cooking the strawberry compote and shelling the pistachios.

I kept my fingers crossed that the mousse would set nicely & not become strawberry soup. (: Next on my list: Café au Lait tartlets?

Friday was awesome possum.
School was just pw lesson + pe (it was a boring talk = no pe at all) so we played netball after that by ourselves. Showered, changed and headed to Haji lane for lunch & shopping. We had lunch at some pretty place with really good food + cute music at the alfreco area on a miniature class bench. talked and ate our way through each other's soup to dessert. Mmmm.
Spent hours shopping + my confession about the 'basket phase' a few year ago. plus we went to a costume shop & totally freaked Char & Cher out! The crowd at bugis street was headache-inducing, so was the queue for fitting room at the topshop sale meow.

the 4 of us were sitting at the ledge trying to finish our drinks to get into the shops when we saw this guy walk past in denim cutoffs + leggings + weirdish stuff . we stared, & he turned around and gave us the finger. Hahah omg. Ate taiyaki bf catching the train- it was absolutely hilarious to see Tay & Siah run across thet platform to the other train when the door opened.

Shopping part deux with the parents at Raffles City- the entire place was virtually on sale. Steve madden pumps! but they didn’t have my size bleh. Shopped till we almost forgot about dinner reservations at Out of the Pan, where I love love the smoked salmon savoury crepes & mint tomata salad.

Monday
Caught 500 days of summer, yes finally. I've been looking forward to a solid 100+ minutes of zooey deschanel ever since july? Movie was at 1250, but everyone (+ me) were expecting me to be late as usual. The cab driver took some totally foreign-looking route and I arrived 1248 just in time to meet Char, Cher & Angie. (: The cinema was empty & so freezing cold, Char & I had to huddle under my jacket. I love the movie - definitely one of the best movies of 2009 + the soudntrack's awesome!


We went shopping after the movie & I saw this gorgeous kelly green tote from rockstar. Still thinking about it, I want it bad. money please? Plus we went abit crazy buying pretty hair accessories. I coundn't decide to get either the pink/blue (even after wearing it around the shop) & in the end i just dumped both into the shopping bag. (: After Char left, Angie, Cher and I saw cute printed tshirts going at 3 for 80bucks.(the shop didn't looked like it was closed, at all) It was hilarious, reaslising that we were pushing/pulling a locked door. Embarassing ttm.

Not speaking about the P-word, not anytime soon. Was supposed to go for dinner on friday but my granny went missing for the whole day and everyone combed the whole neighbourhood to find her. thankfully, she was discharged from the hospital today.
Saturday
Nebo youth in touch. Omg haven't had training for 2 months plus! Exhausted + sunburnt. Lunch with Hanjing & Yingci at Longhouse after that. Met Fiona at Starbucks where we spent hours flipping through teenvogue & delicious mag. (:

Got lost while trying to get to Eugene's place, bc I fell asleep and missed the stop. (tay was really unlucky! her bus driver had stomachache!) Dinner was awesome & there was so much food, couldn't finish it so we left it to Eeruey to chow it all down. I was sooo tired that I started to doze off at the dining table. 20min nap under the leopard prints/preenz blanklet, hahah! Woke up and we played with pretty sparklers. Heh wanted to watch loveactually, we were all in movie-mode with char, tay, cher and me snuggled under Eugene's leopard preenz blanket (!!) but the dvd didn't work. Sparklers! There were explosive whistling ones that were kinda scary & the guys tried to stick the sparklers into beer bootles. Icecream to round up the night, yum yum. (:

I can't rmb when but i was rushing out WR at 2am and this "side along side" song came out of nowhere and got stuck in my head. & that led to head-bopping & youtube links spamming with eugene. Omg. All those shifty, crazytown, a1, bsb, lfo, 3 of a kind...

Promos. (I hate how it sounds like such a sad word)
So far gp was pretty much screwed, lit (i just felt cold & confused), & today's econs wasn't any much better. Well, I can't do math for nuts + i'm the geog-idiot who didnt' get plate tectonics until 1 term later. This means that is really not much hope for me right?

I was looking at  ourbedrooms & how I wished my bedroom was well, bigger. I'm thinking of changing the colour of my room (again!) and maybe a panel of wallpaper/decals. Kinda bored with the 2 lime green + dark grassy green walls.  Plus where my photowall used to be is kinda blochy.

and I realise I sleep with way too many pillows, that there is absolutely no room for me to stretch. That's why most of the pillows are on the floor when I wakeup but it's kinda like a pillow fortress. (: Sigh there is about 10 more days to promos & I'm not where close in my prep. Ugrh.

These few days have been such a blur.
Esp friday night, I'm really glad that we made the trip down to the hospital.
Went home with a throbbing headache from all the crying to find my parents staying up, waiting for me. We had a nice long talk before I went to bed & tearing up all over again when I said I love them.

maf was hohum. Grandma's birthday dinner celebrations before that so I took a cab to school but was late for the light up. We walked about but it was too crowded plus we weren't  in the mood for celebrating. Angie & Char were hungry & wanted to try  the new burger shack. but the last order was alrd over by the time we got there, so we had to settle for NYNY.

you really are the strongest girl I've ever known. & I want you to know that all of us will be here for you no matter what. We may not have known each other for very long but I still love you all the same.

We were supposed to to Mt Faber for some fresh morning air + dimsum. But the whole family couldn't wake up early, so we just dragged ourselves over for a lazy brunch at Ikea. Swedish meatballs + wings + gravad lax + cinnamon rolls + apple pie + chamomile tea.

Bought a pair of black & white chairs for the study room, among an awful lot of stuff. & I got to be like a handyman and fix the chairs up myself. After fiddling with the parts, unwrapping, screwing  & unscrewing, I finally got a nice sturdy chair + a new pretty cushion. (:

6thAve on wednesday.
Diet snapple + simply bread + pain au chocolat. I'm pretty sure I eat way to much while studying.

Thursday was fat fest ttm.
After gp remedial in school, had lunch at NYNY with Char, CherylT, Claud & Eugene. We sat in the so-called diet friendly booth, but still we ate quite alot!
Did vectors in school for awhile then met Stel at Holland V. Shopping at Anthropology and stocked up baking supplies at ChipBee Gardens-Pantry Magic, Shermay's. Wanted to eat at Ramen bar for dinner but settled for Coffeeclub where we shared 2 mains + muddy mudpie + fondue.

Monday
My attempt to start the week by studying (: Met Cheryl for lunch then bus to skoolzx - & we saw this moviestar/poster/magazine hot guy. It was hilarious how all the females on the bus suddenly turned. +Tay was totally dumbstruck. All the empty classrooms were locked, so we found this really breezy place next to the lockers. Borrowed tables & chairs and there we have our own study spot.

We looked totally out of place there + suppressed laughter from those walking by.

+lead poisoning scare at night when my gc started leaking stuff. Eeeeks : /

Tuesday
Dragged myself up at 0830 to go run. Then to the pool for some sun bc I'm so yellow now it looks gross.
Walked to RailMall to go study with Chao at Coffeebean. And boy was it productive! Nice talk too, everything will be alright Chao (: (naysayers be damned)
Caramel Iceblended + extra Hazelnut syrup + Scones + Green Tea = :) 
Plus the caffe au lait I had in the morning, caffeine overload for sure. Before leaving, we walked back to our kindergarten, but the church was already closed. It was much fun recounting preschool days- the play room, music room, craft, sunday school & which school bus we took, and the windbreaker that you can fold into a bag. ZOMG.

Chao: Once the bus didn't come so I took a cab to school. Then I realised it was good friday.

I hope the pretty stained glass windows are still there.
